My '63 Dodge 330 will be 90% street and 10% strip. I want something lightweight yet durable as the car is a bare bones lightweight with no heater and radio delete. It currently has the original drums on the front and big drums from a '71 Chrysler on the rear. Would Wilwood's Pro Street kit be a good choice? How about Aerospace? ..or should I find an a-body disc front setup and go with factory pieces?

I`ve been running the Wilwoods street brakes(vented rotors)for many years and havn`t even changed pads yet. I`ve read on hear that there are better systems w/less weight/drag but I`m sticking with what I have for now.

I actually run the stock power drum brakes on my 63 and it stops surprisingly good for drum brakes. I was out of cash when it came to the brakes so I went with the factory setup that was on it. I know they are not as good as disc but they work fine for me even at the track. Ron

I ran 4 wheel drums on mine when it was running mid 10s at 3700 pounds, but I would not recommend it. I now have Aerospace brakes up front, stock drums out back, and I'm very happy with them. CHIP

You can't drive any of the drag race brakes in the rain. They CANNOT get wet.

Good thing I have their street/strip kit then. They have no problems in the rain. Yes I have actually driven mine in heavy rain. Got caught in it leaving the grocery store a month or so ago, not fun on bald drag radials, lol. CHIP

Why can't you drive them in the rain? No rubbers on the caliper bolts I take it?

Yeah, Bill, you're the first one I thought of to order from.
It may be the first of next month but I need to at least get the kit for the fronts.
